One Force Terminators Completed

You can see the stages I've gone through with these guys here, here and here.  Its taken a while, and I've had to completely re-work the painting method for the new paints, but I'm really happy with how they've ended up.  I've also tried battle damage and weathering on these guys for the first time in my painting with mixed success.

I'd really appreciate any comments anyone has, especially criticism and constructive feedback in case there are things you think can be improved, and how I might go about it.  You can see some closer shots in the last in progress post here.

Cheers - Andy

Edit:  forgot, this means I've now added 10 painting points for this year.  You can see my running total on the right >

  1. Wow, I think you did an excellent job on these buddy, they look fantastic. Great first time weathering. I also really like the bases.

    1. Thanks IDICBeer, I appreciate that. The bases are from Anvil Industries, if you were interested.

  2. I like the plain sheilds and the chewed up look :) I hope you didn't actually bite them... great work!

    1. I'm not quite that dedicated to the hobby, glad you like them though.

  3. Nice work! The only thing I'd suggest is maybe a spot color of some variety, perhaps the power cable could be given a blue or yellow layer? Could help them 'pop' a bit, though that may be at odds with the aesthetic you're going for.

Love the weathering, they really look fantastic - keep up the great work!

    1. Thanks Mordian, I'd been wondering about that, was considering some red on the power cables, but maybe a light blue would look better. I think I'll avoid yellow as there's already some of that on the helmets etc. I'd want to keep it relatively toned down though as the idea for this force is that they are an infiltration unit so they wouldn't be running around with too many bright colours.

  4. I agree with Student Teacher, the crouching one looks great. What a unique pose.

    1. Thanks Ron. Although it doesn't perhaps come out, the base he's on even has the edge of a large crater that I've placed him to look like he's just tried to put a hole in the earth :)

  6. Thanks ST, my fingers didn't appreciate making him that way, lots of cutting and sticking and not a few slips with the knife while doing it, those legs are really thick.
