Ooops!
In my excitement last week at finishing the Storm Raven, I blundered on ahead and posted shots of it completed, referring to this Vindicator and how much fun it has been painting vehicles, but had forgotten to post up the pictures of the completed Vindicator. Anyway, here they are to make ammends.
It really has been fun painting, and really quick too. Its felt like I've made some really good progress getting this done up in a relatively short space of time. Coupled with the Dreadnought and Storm Raven, I've now filled up the Heavy Support slots for the army - no room for all the shiny new Space Marines coming next month - oh noes!
I've started to add some markings to the larger flat areas, both to break them up, and to add a Chapter Symbol or two to help tie it into the army. I'm also going to have to practice battle damage and weathering something this big, try and work out a technique I'm happy with, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Anywho, next week its a whole army shot as it seems I've reached 1500pts already.

A wonderfully thuggish tank, the vindicator. You have done it justice.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much John, glad that you approve. I'm very much looking forward to taking it out for a spin.
DeletePigments. Weathering sticks, that sort of thing. Just the ticket, methinks.
ReplyDeleteI might have to ask you to show me how to go about that, I'm a complete noob when it comes to any of this weathering stuff.
