Part of the vibe I'm hoping for with my One Force marines is a fully veteran force, one that has seen combat a lot, and has the scars to prove it. As such, I plan to use a lot of bionics in the army, which means to keep variety, I'll be needing to make use of a lot of 3rd party products. I've been compiling a list of parts that I plan to combine, with the ForgeWorld early marque armour variants, to make up my marines.
First up, ForgeWorld only do 2 types of jump troop (MkIII and MkV), so for the other armour variants, I'll be using some of these jump-packs:
maxmini.eu - bronze pattern | maxmini.eu - iron pattern |
bitspudlo.com | maxmini.eu |
chapterhousestudios.com |
I'd definitely say my preferred options are the MaxMini bronze and iron pattern packs, but the other three styles are all good too.
Next up are the bionics, there are a lot of these about so there's a heck of a lot of choice, even before you consider the option of scratch building it yourself. The ones that I have found are:
... there's even some for terminators!
Finally, seeing as the Forgeworld kits don't come with guns, I'll be needing weapon options for them.
Bolters:
Special/heavy weapons:
... and some cool combat weapons and vehicle conversion kits that I really like and may use for some specialist units:

That's pretty much all I've been able to find, but if you know of other suppliers of this kind of kit, let me know in the comments as I'm always interested in new ways to theme this force. Cheers - Andy
Nice work dude, just ordered some parts from Bitspudlo,I thought I'd found all the sites with after market bits but this one was new to me.Got some infantry autocannons, a Tsunami missile launcher, a servo claw, and the thing that led me there in the first place, those cool terminator bionics. Thanks dude, hope all goes well with your army, cant wait to see what you've got in mind.
ReplyDeleteAnd I highly recommend the ChapterHouse Lightning Claws as well as the Puppets Warshop storm hammers.
DeleteHey Oktane - glad I can spread the word for a new supplier, now if only I could get commission :). You'll have to let me know how you get on with all the parts and what the quality is of it all. Cheers.
DeleteSome of these are great, love those Wolverine arms
ReplyDeleteI know, aren't they just cool! I'm definitely planning on arming someone in my army with a pair
DeleteAnvil industry have cool parts!
ReplyDeleteAnd there stuff just keeps getting better. Some of their new weapon sets are pretty much auto includes for any conversion/kit-bash
DeleteKromlech has been producing some very nice after market bits for Heroic 28mm Minis and well he has an entire range of awesome orc bits also.
ReplyDeleteOnly Sells on EBAY and payment though Paypal
They are great if you have orks, not as good for other forces though sadly. I rally like the non Ork stuff they do, I just wish they'd do more of it.
DeleteI agree with Eddie! Anvil has some Drum mags for bolters and Bionics that I plan to use on my DA rehab project
ReplyDeleteThey are great for all those small parts, and I'll attest from experience now that their service is second to non.
